Public bug reported: Binary package hint: grub2
I am running Lucid Alpha 2. When I ran update-manager this evening (2/3) the screen for choosing the drives on which to install grub2 came up, with the warning that if you don't know, it is better to choose all of them. I did not know exactly where on the sda drive grub was supposed to go, so I selected all of the sda options. Then the grub-pc configuration hung. I expected grub-pc to install grub where I told it to. It had to be killed with a force-quit. grub-pc is version 1.98-20100128-1u ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Wed Feb 3 23:12:08 2010 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release i386 (20091028.5) NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: grub-pc 1.98~20100128-1ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_US.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-12.16-generic SourcePackage: grub2 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-12-generic i686 ** Affects: grub2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 lucid -- grub-pc configuration fails during update https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/516915 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
