Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: yelp
1) After last upgrade ( 3 Feb 2010) the gnome-volume-control-applet is
disappeared!
I tried to kill and restart and I got:
r...@muawijhe-dsea:~# gnome-volume-control-applet --debug
** (gnome-volume-control-applet:6724): DEBUG: Enabling debugging
** (gnome-volume-control-applet:6724): DEBUG: Connecting..
and nothing more...
However, the sound system is working properly!
2) I can't modify the volume by acting on the keyboard shortcuts...
It seems that these problems affect the user root only. Other users can modify
easily and they see the applet as well.
I tried to remove all the gnome/pulseaudio/etc settings in the root
folder but without success.
Let me know why this is happening :)
Best regards,
Vincenzo
