Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: checkbox
checkbox's general-hook for apport imports modules from the python-xdg
package, but doesn't list it as a dependency. On ubuntu-server
installations, python-xdg is not installed by default (nor is checkbox),
so if ubuntu-bug is invoked on ubuntu-server after installing checkbox,
the following backtrace is given:
hook /usr/share/apport/general-hooks/checkbox.py crashed:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/apport/report.py", line 591, in
add_hooks_info
execfile(hook, symb)
File "/usr/share/apport/general-hooks/checkbox.py", line 9, in <module>
from xdg.BaseDirectory import xdg_cache_home
ImportError: No module named xdg.BaseDirectory
apport is smart enough not to abort due to the failing hook, but it
still looks ugly and ought to be fixed.
