Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: foomatic-db
In Karmic, when printing (most) PDFs from Evince to my Sharp AR-165M
printer, using the default printer driver (I've tried removing it and
reconfiguring it), the printer just prints a page with text like this:
PCL XL error:
Subsystem: KERNEL
Error: IllegalTag
Operator: 0xf8
Position: 14
Sometimes the Operator and Position are different.
It works if I change the printer driver to Generic -> PCL 6/PCL XL
Printer, choosing the first one from the list (CUPS+Gutenberg v5.2.4)
