Thank you for keeping in contact with me about this issue, I truly do
appreciate and value the efforts of people like you who try to maintain the
utmost compatibility between modern and legacy hardware and Linux system.
 As for the Suspend/Resume problem, the computer is now able to successfully
resume into Ubuntu.  However, upon resuming, the mouse seems to go
absolutely haywire!  The mouse flits from corner to corner, and clicks in
random places without any human interaction.  This happens whether the mouse
is the integrated touchpad or a usb mouse.   I suspect however, that this
may be a system problem, such as firmware or hardware, because this
sometimes happens whether I am in Ubuntu or Windows XP.
