Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: thunderbird
Mail with three large attachments in inbox: 1M, 5M, 0.7M. I am trying to
delete the first one. The progress bar goes quickly 95%, then
Thunderbird stops responding. After two minutes I kill Thunderbird with
Alt-F4 plus Metacity or a good old kill command (no difference). After
that, there are two messages in inbox: the old one untouched, and
another one with first attachment deleted (correct), second present
(correct) and the third has simply disappeared (defintely not correct).
I repeated this excercise with different mails and attachments. First,
detach and delete have the same final outcome: freeze. Second, it is
somehow correlated with the size of the attachment: small ones are
deleted OK. It is not correlated otherwise: different folders,
subfolders, several mails in the folder or one only, one or several
attachments - all lead to the same result.
