I am closing this bug report as the problem doesn't affect any official Ubuntu packages.
EyeConic: This was a mistake in some recent commit: since you were using the latest version from Git (using jhbuild) it can happen that such errors slip in until someone notices and corrects them. If you update the sources and try to compile again, with "jhbuild build -f -a -c", you shouldn't experience this problem anymore.
