This seems to be working ok in Ubuntu 10.04 (ufw 0.29.3) now. Eg:
$ echo $LANG
es_MX.utf8
$ sudo ufw status
Estado: activo
$ LANG=en sudo ufw status
Status: active
$ LANGUAGE=en sudo ufw status
Status: active
Can someone else confirm?
