Burning dvd+rw with K3b on LG CH08LS10 (it seems to be related to the drive as
well, according to the debburn-devel list).
K3b shows burning speed between 0.1x and 0.3x instead of 4x (on 4x media).
Checked both drive and media: drive performs normal in redmond-based OS, media
is written at normal speed if the drive is replaced by an older (ide) NEC drive.
After checking several other options based on info from debburn-devel list I
started to suspect udev.
During the extremely slow writing session I stopped udev and the drive speed
almost immediately went to 4x.
Reported that to debburn-devel
(http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/debburn-devel/2010-January/000740.html)
Today I decided to replay the same job with udev logging set to debug. I
will attach part of my syslog that shows what's happening.
