Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: adduser

After doing a new installation of Feisty herd 5 64bit from the alternate
CD, I see that no files found in /etc/skel have been copied to the
default user's home directory. I chose to create during installation.
Running the 'useradd -m' and/or 'adduser' commands after the
installation both create the directory and copy the need skeleton files
over successfully for another new user. It's unlikely this matters in
reproducing the problem, but my home directory is located on another
partition other than where / is.

** Affects: adduser (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
