Public bug reported:
On my HP nw8240 running fresh install of Feisty:
After update manager installs updates and reports that a restart is
necessary, Feisty logs out of Gnome and drops back to login screen
instead of restarting. After logging back in, restart notification
still appears (because it didn't actually restart). Had to manually
restart with "System --> Quit --> Restart".
