Hello Jeremy. I do not have a chance right now to test it, I currently
use only ethernet. Please, see my last post. Last time I used ath5k with
2.6.31-17 I had a system freeze. Since the upgrade to Karmic various
freezes I get do not tend to leave any traces in the logs: they just
spit a some garbled text.  This might be a rsyslog issue... The reason,
I blamed ath5k was the following: 60% of all the entries (about 10 870
out of 16034 lines) was the this:

 wlan0: Trigger new scan to find an IBSS to join

The hardwired connection was in use, though the wireless interface was on.
