Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: evolution
When I click the evolution icon on the desktop the application appears to start
- bottom line says starting, mouse is turning wheel, etc. After some 30-90
seconds those indicators go away - with no apparent evidence of application
starting.
Based on an earlier report I reinstalled all evolution package references I
found in Synaptic package manager and applied those.
The results were the same. I went to terminal and attempted to start; this is
what I received.

I have no idea where to go from here -
You are using Ubuntu 9.10
- the Karmic Koala - released in October 2009 and supported
until April 2011.
