Please, even though I, myself started "complaining" about this bug being
marked as "invalid", I encourage everyone to respect the developer's
effort. He proved himself to be active in solving the bug, and willing
to cooperate.

I still do not agree with the current status, and I believe there is a
problem of "communication" between the developer assumptions (or
expected configurations) and what the users are free to do, without that
the operating system warns them about (let's call them) "conflicting
configurations".

In fact, can we agree that some complains after the bug becoming invalid
stem from the "frustration" of having an "unsupported" configuration
(and not being warned about that)? Maybe I'm completely wrong in this
point, so please calmly let's discuss on that! :-)
