Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. I confirm that package multimon should suggest package
'sox' since it can use sox internally (though sox is not required for
normal use of multimon).
I note also that Ubuntu's version of multimon is not the latest
available, however the latest version (multimon 1.0-5) likewise does not
suggest package 'sox'.
