Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: udev
udev-finish.conf writes some dynamically generated udev config files to to the
/etc/udev/rules.d directory.
That seems ugly and can cause some problems:
- /etc/udev/rules.d/README states that /etc/udev/rules.d
"is for local rules"
- /etc is not for dynamic content, boot should be able without a writable /
directory
- rules will never be removed again, only added
For these reasons a tmpfs mountpoint would be more suitable for these
rules.
