Hi,
Please provide the output of '/sbin/ifconfig -a', so that we can look at
the interfaces detected and attempt to find out why network-manager
doesn't display the interface for you. Also, you could run the command
'apport-collect 243476' which will add additional information to this
bug report, including the list of interfaces detected on your system and
system logs; they should help us in indentifying the problem.
