Public bug reported:
Using the en-GB layout with all the Options set to default, Shift + Alt
Gr (but note *not* Alt Gr + Shift) used to work as the Compose key.
In latest lucid it does nothing. This has been happening sporadically
over the last few release cycles.
It was working properly for me until today, when I installed 6 days'
worth of updates.
