(possibly unrelated):

(This last message is related to my analogue TV card and well-known to
me at least since Hardy, but has never affected its functionality)

I know this is alpha status, and perhaps of minor importance, as I still
can't perceive lack of functionality. Anyway, perhaps it can help in
some way.
