Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
This is a bizarre one and is causing major headaches for me. I have a
file that is perfect, I send it to another machine, open it up, and the
damn margins are off and other things are off. My girlfriend is in law
school so EVERYTHING has to be perfect otherwise she gets marked off
points. We decided to submit the PDF's, as well as the .doc so that you
can see what we're seeing, this is a major headache....
Just to rephrase, I send her a doc, she sees it differently, we both
made PDF's, original is mine, other computer is hers.
Some issues
Number of pages (yeah number of pages are off)
Page 8 of copy is blank, no blank pages in original
Margins on page 3 are different, more specifically the 4. on the bottom
is off
That's just the beginning, basically the copy she was seeing in open office was
worthless and she couldn't turn it in, major major headache
