** Attachment added: "The patch" http://librarian.launchpad.net/6668175/kleansweep-helper-script_find-file-roller-leftovers.patch
** Description changed: Binary package hint: kleansweep Here is a patch to the kleansweep-helper perl script. It adds a new option, -e, that cleans temporary files. Currently, -e only matches Gnome file-roller temporary files that get left over when you try to create a tarball on a disk that's almost full then tar(1) fails due to lack of disk space (Ubuntu bug #90328, forwarded upstream to Gnome bug ID 415638). Notes: * I did not attempt to patch the GUI to add a checkbox for this feature. Would you like me to? * This patch is for the version of kleansweep-helper that ships with Ubuntu (0.28), not the latest (0.29). * The "clean backup files" option already finds files named *.tmp, so I wasn't sure if I should just modify the backup files regexp. But I instead decided to add a new option since File Roller leftover temp - files are definitely + files are definitely not backup files, but they are true temp files :) * If you run Kleansweep while File Roller is currently running, I'd guess this would cause File Roller to fail and give you an error message. -- [patch] make kleansweep detect leftovers file-roller leaves when out of disk space https://launchpad.net/bugs/90450 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
