Hi.  Many thanks for your report.  Before we proceed further I need a
little more information.   Does the Wifi link still disconnect if you
just let the machine idle, or does it only disconnect when actively
using the link?

Have you checked whether there are any other networks visible (or
hidden) that might be operating on the same channel and causing
contention?  Is the problem more susceptible if you are further away
from the access point?

Have you tried re-booting your access point to see if it has any affect
on the problem (most modern routers will attempt to locate a free
channel when re-booted, so if suffering from channel contention it can
cure it).

Just trying to eliminate whether it is a problem with Ubuntu or simply a
wireless access problem.
