apparmor does notify a user of a blocked application (term used loosely) The reason imo, that app armor doesn't show blocks like that to the end user is that an end user (Corporate use especially) is that it's not made for end user interaction but rather profiles which are defined by the system admins or engineers. App armor is supposed to work completely transparent to the end user, again, imo. because they don't NEED to know things like that. Of course, that's my feeling on the matter, not that it really matters much anyway.
