Andy, Thank you for reporting this bug and helping to make Ubuntu One better. The servers are experiencing some high load at the moment. The U1 team is working to solve some issues to be able to scale more for Lucid. Things should be back to normal (no delays) in a day or two.
Also i noticed you are running the 1.0.2 client. There is a newer client available 1.0.3 that has many fixes in it.
