OK so in short, when you connect to your LaCie hard disk, everything is
considered as read-only: you can read and copy from the disk but you
can't write or copy to it.

Quando collegui il LaCie al tuo EeePC, puoi apprire un terminale e
farre:

cd /media
ls -ls

Per esempio, quando ho il mio disco Samsung collegato, mi da:

total 40
 0 lrwxrwxrwx  1 root  root      6 2009-11-13 20:44 cdrom -> cdrom0
 4 drwxr-xr-x  2 root  root   4096 2009-11-13 20:44 cdrom0
 0 lrwxrwxrwx  1 root  root      7 2009-11-13 20:44 floppy -> floppy0
 4 drwxr-xr-x  2 root  root   4096 2009-11-13 20:44 floppy0
32 drwx------ 15 bruno bruno 32768 1970-01-01 01:00 SAMSUNG

dopo fa encorra:

cd LaCie (o qualcun nome si usa per il tuo LaCie)
ls -ls

Sul mio, ho per esempio:

 32 drwx------ 12 bruno bruno  32768 2010-01-08 20:58 Photos
