This seems to be fixed in Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx. The attachment in
comment 1 is now scaled normally in print preview and I don't think I
can see any extra added margin. It is rotated into landscape
orientation though - not sure if that is a problem.

Are you are able to test this on the Lucid 10.04 alpha 2 Live CD?
