Hi,
If you remove the "splash quiet" options from Grub (hit escape to
interrupt boot, and then hit 'e' to edit the command line) and retry
2.6.20-9 you should be able to pinpoint the crash and help us out
immensely debugging your bug. Between that and the information you've
already provided we should be well on our way to fixing it.
