Public bug reported:
Usplash does not appear until its down to two bars. Up to that point I
get a black screen.
Reproduce:
Select shutdown or reboot from the "Log Out..." button in kmenu.
This bug does not happen if you log out to KDM first.
Graphics card: Radeon 9700PRO using open source radeon driver.
