Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: checkbox
Hi~
System Testing (/usr/bin/checkbox-gtk) doesn't seem to work.
It seems to only try to test (unless I uncheck them) Firewire and
fingerprint reader, which are both devices I don't have.
Without any trying any other tests, it simply goes straight to
generating a report.
Also, when I enter my e-mail address for Launchpad, it gives this error:
Error: Required fields not contained in POST data: submission_key,
system
It doesn't freeze or crash, and it still let's me view the report in
Firefox.
I don't have this problem in my desktop PC, only my laptop.
Acer Aspire 5515 laptop.
Ubuntu 9.10 Gnome updated as of this writing.
I saw a similar bug, but it said it has been fixed, so maybe this is slightly
different? But, I'm not sure, because checkbox-gtk --version gives 0.7.1
I wonder if this is related to the "ata3.00: status: { DRDY ERR }" errors I
constantly get every 3 seconds in system logs??
I hope this isn't a serious or difficult-to-fix bug~ Thanks for your
time and have a great day! ^^
