Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better.
On lucid, we use now gdm session to switch between ubuntu desktop environment
and UNE session. The desktop switching was to "crashy" and the problematic
can't be easily solved.
The new session setting should fix your issue on lucid.
