Dear Mathieu, Thank you for attention.
I have resolved the problem by using the 'rfkill' tool. After activating the wireless card by 'rfkill' it was posible to setup connection by the NetworkManager. Now wireless is active even after rebooting the system. It was unexpected for me that after new installation of Ubuntu 9.10 the wireless connection was unavailable. But under XUbuntu 9.04 the wireless card was active after installation by default. The best regard, Borys. -----Original Message----- From: Mathieu Trudel <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Thu, Feb 11, 2010 3:25 am Subject: [Bug 479460] Re: wlan0 is not active Hi, Have you tried to setup your wireless using NetworkManager or only using the command-line? Please try to configure wireless with NetworkManager, and include an excerpt of /var/log/syslog with the results (if it manages to connect or at least sees the interface and tries to).
