Brian,
I reported this bug over 2 months ago (closer to 3) and have since ditched
Ubuntu.
Interestingly enough, it was because I never received a response back from my
bug
report - oh, I waited. After not hearing anything back and not seeing any
patches or
updates related to this bug, I gave up. Thanks but no thanks.
