Can confirm this is still a bug in 9.10 (64 bit) using gnome-screensaver
2.28.0-0ubuntu3.4. Only happens when Likewise reports the users password
is about to expire.

However I agree with comments #3 and #5 as this is a showstopper for AD
integration and adoption of Likewise in enterprises. Many corporations
have strict policies about automatically locking desktops after a
certain idle time, also many AD sites start warning the user weeks
before the password is actually expiring. Each time that combination
happens the users desktop becomes unusable. Doing a kill -9 of the
gnome-screensaver is not an acceptable workaround for normal users, and
it will even irritate the more technical users. Suggest this bug be
marked as high importance.
