Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: hdparm
The '/etc/init.d/hdparm' script indiscriminately calls hdparm with the
'-f' (sync and flush buffer cache) option on all devices for which a
device configuration block exists in '/etc/hdparm.conf' causing an error
for read-only devices such as CD or DVD drives. The hdparm init.d script
subsequently exits with a failure code, while hdparm itself emits the
following error message:
BLKFLSBUF failed: Function not implemented
