Public bug reported:

Stop during the first step of the boot on a IBM X31 after having clocked the 
audio chipset.
Even in recovery mode, I have to use the "CTRL + ALT+SUPPR" command to continue 
the booting process.
Then I got a Xorg error. 
The recovery mode can't access the files without a fsck first.

After that only, a Xsession can be initialized.
