Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: firefox-3.5
Firefox starts up very slowly. Typically is takes 20 seconds or more to
open. This is nothing new. It has been this way for a long time.I
started using Chrome recently. It opens in about 2 seconds. Is there
some fundamental reason that Firefox takes 10 times as long to open? I'm
using similar extensions in both, so I don't think that has anything to
do with it.
