Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
I am attempting to set a background that is the size of my two displays
(2560x1024 for 2 1280x1024 displays). In Karmic, this used to work
without an issue. The behavior for multiple desktops seems to have
changed in Lucid, and now the background will be repeated on each
monitor instead.
I noticed that the Display applet will now show 1280x1024 as the
resolution, instead of showing 2560x1024 as it did in Karmic (the
resolution of the virtual desktop).
I tried all available background styles (tile, stretch, center, etc.) to
see if any would make the background stretch across both monitors, but
that wasn't the case.
