One more note: I suspect that bug occurs only when some sort of a minimum size is set for a window. For example, I open QtCreator and press Alt+F7. This allows me dragging its window (at last :)) and changing its size. I'm able to reduce its width, but I can't reduce its height to fit the screen. When window is maximized, it just "jumps" up and down when I click anywhere inside it. As for Eric, its main window's minimum width is too big for my screen, so its window "jumps" left and right when maximized.
