Okay, any one who is experiencing this problem, can you please test the following...
1) Close all of your Firefox sessions 2) mv $HOME/.mozilla $HOME/.mozilla.orig 3) Launch a new Firefox This will re-seed $HOME/.mozilla with a fresh profile. Do you still experience the problem?
