Hi ephebus,

Examining your DpkgTerminalLog.txt file I notice the following:

dpkg: error processing
/var/cache/apt/archives/linux-image-2.6.31-19-generic_2.6.31-19.56_i386.deb
(--unpack):
 corrupted filesystem tarfile - corrupted package archive

This usually indicates you've got a corrupted .deb. If you remove the
corrupted file in question, ie /var/cache/apt/archives/linux-
image-2.6.31-19-generic_2.6.31-19.56_i386.deb and retry the update this
should resolve the issue.  Thanks.

** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Invalid
