Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. If you have not done so, please run the Update Manager to make sure your system is up to date. Hopefully doing so will fix some of the problems you are experiencing. In regards to your graphics issue, do you have an NVidia graphics card? If so, did you install the NVidia driver?
