Thank you for reporting this issue. I am able to reproduce this issue. I use Abiword on a daily basis in Lucid Lynx.
This appears to be a direct result of updates installed on 2010-02-18 as of 02:21 pm GMT. When run from the terminal, an error is produced: "abiword: error while loading shared libraries: libgoffice-0.8.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" I am attaching the /var/log/apt logs from today as well as ~/.xsession- errors log showing the above error. Please note that when Abiword is started from the menu, it fails silently with the error appearing in the .xsession-errors log. When started from the terminal, the error does not appear in the log file. ** Attachment added: "charlie's .xsession-errors from 2010-02-17" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/39365595/.xsession-errors ** Changed in: abiword (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: abiword (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Summary changed: - abiword does not start + [Lucid] abiword does not start -- [Lucid] abiword does not start https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/523763 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
