The package has to be built for Lucid so it can tie into the Lucid versions of its dependencies. Older versions of xserver-xorg-video-intel were failing to build on Lucid, and it looked like it may have taken some work, so I just left that for later when we found a good version that's new enough to build on Lucid without extra work.
I just checked and the current version I have in the PPA is new enough, so I just did a build for Lucid. You can get it by adding my PPA normally on Lucid.
