Background:
I have been having a number of bugs related to startup. Some of them
have been in mountall.
It appears that the 'filesystem' event is not being emited by mountall.
As a workaround I can start a console, run gdm manually, and get a
console.
(by this time mountall has exited).
I would like the rest of the startup sequence to continue, so that
normalilty is restored as quickly as possible.
I thought I could run initctl manually. I have attached ps auxww (to
show mountall is no longer running) and strace logs of both init and
initctl.
