Good Morning,

I did what you suggested (and thanks for the step-by-step
instructions).  Unfortunately, no drivers showed-up.  The program did
search and when it stopped working, the list was blank.

Thank you for the update. Can you please login to Ubuntu and see if you
have the graphics driver installed? In order to do this, you should be
able to go System -> Administration -> Hardware Drivers. This will
search for available proprietary drivers for your system. Once the
search is done, you will hopefully see a list of several graphics
drivers. Any of the drivers with a green dot next to them are active. If
one is active, please make sure it is the "Recommended" version (Ubuntu
will tell you which is recommended). If none are active, then please
find the "Recommended" driver and activate it by selecting the driver,
then clicking the "Activate" button at the bottom. If no drivers show
up, then we will need to take a different approach. Please let us know
how it goes. Thanks in advance!

Ubuntu newbie here.  On startup, I get a message that it has to use low-res
display - and the display is very odd.  It's like it doesn't have a driver for
an HP Touchsmart (desktop).  Also I get no sound (don't know if they are
related...).  I just upgraded from 9.04.
