Going back to default ubuntu firefox, that would be 3.5.8. I will not try this again and I won't be able to update on this bug report. However I was able to run firefox from terminal by command: /usr/bin/firefox-3.6/firefox so it must have been a linking issue but nevertheless it's lame not to have the latest packages. that too when the vendor has made a stable release.
May be I will try some rolling release distro and will switch to it if i find it good enough. -- tried installing firefox-3.6 after adding mozillateam/firefox-stable PPA :: package firefox 3.6+nobinonly-0ubuntu4~mfs~karmic1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/524947 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
