i haven't had that problem any more, but at this time i have to install ubuntu 8.10 again because of several problems with 9.10 with which i cannot use microphone, skype, scanner (canon pixma mp250). 9.10's mailer (evolution) duplicated email messages incoming without my permission in past days. i try to install 9.10 again with win xp sp2, but it didn't work: it seems i didn't install 9.10. i think there were problems with grub. i thank you for your care about my problems bye
