Binary package hint: rhythmbox
Hi,
Rhythmbox starts and looks normal. When I press play, the play button
stays depressed, the time line and time counter look normal but no sound
is produced. I know that the sound system is working because mplayer
can play through PulseAudio and ALSA. Xine also works fine. When I
look at the 'Sound Preferences', 'Applications' tab, Rhythmbox is not
listed, although I'm not sure if it should be. When mplayer plays, it
is listed in the 'Applications' tab.
My system is uname -a is

x86_64 GNU/Linux

pulseaudio 0.9.19
I also checked the volume control in Rythmbox and it seems to know when
it at maximum but still no sound. Also, I restarted as some people
found that this fixed a similar problem but it didn't fix my problem.
I know that Rhythmbox did work before my network update from 9.04 to
9.10 but I can't be sure that the update caused the problem because it
was 2 weeks later before I tried Rhythmbox. Any suggestions welcome.
