And how about the Karmic version of winff_1.2.0 (either from my PPA or
google (they are the same))? When I try that in Lucid it crashes just
the same, however, when I run the SAME package in Karmic I have no
problems. I am getting very curious to what it is. Apparently older
Ubuntu versions don't have this problem... We also haven't seen many
reports. It seems that it is related to other parts of the system.

With regards to the difference between 1.0.4 and 1.2.0, there is indeed
extra functionality which might need extra library functions to operate.

I will investigate further today.
