WICD 1.6.1 running under Ubuntu9.10 NBR from USB key on Asus EeePC900. Network Controller: any (may be internal Atheros card or Linksys WiFI key WUSB54G) Same problem after several clean installs. Same problem with Ubuntu 9.04 remix. Generally, it is however possible to connect to a network, after clicking "Disconnect All" to get a non grayed-list. The message (in French on my system) says that WICD client is quitting, with some reference about Python.
